I recently graduated the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta Georgia with a Bachelors of Science in Business Management. Currently I work as the Director of Video Operations/Video Coordinator for Georgia State University Athletics, with a focus on Football. The GSU Football Team fields its first ever team in 2010 and I was brought in to orchestrate the development of the video department from scratch. My job entails much of the same as I was responsible for at Georgia Tech, however now I lead the department. I will be in charge of coordinating and overseeing all production and distribution of all video editing for the Football Program Including: Practice and Game Film, Highlight Videos, Motivational Videos, Intro Videos, Interviews and anything else media for the Georgia State Football Program. I also lead and coordinate the teams responsible for the production of video and media, as well as Jumbo Screens, for Basketball, Volleyball, Baseball and other Sports at Georgia State. I serve directly under Head Coach Bill Curry, a renowned leader and football coach who previously coached at Alabama, Georgia Tech and Kentucky, as well as spent the last several years as an on screen football analyst for ESPN.
During College I served as a Video Specialist on scholarship with the Georgia Institute of Technology Athletic Association. My position included filming the daily football practices, filming home games for coach review and traveling with the football team for technical support. I also produced videos for the jumbo screens at all our sporting venues and helped to prepare and produce the “show” elements that are used to entertain our guest. These elements included videos, firework displays, air force flyovers, sponsor elements, guest involvement activities and more to make the experience a memorable event for all 55,000 guests at each and every game. Some of the elements I have produced include the intro video to the 2007 Homecoming Game, the 2007 and 2008 Bowl Videos that were sent to the major sponsors and numerous other projects. In 2008 I also produced the Award Winning Recruiting Video that took 3rd Place in the National College Athletic Video Savvy Award Contest. When not working with Football I also ran cameras for the Jumbo Screens at Home Basketball, Baseball and Volleyball games.
Beginning in 2004 I served as the Production Director for the Youth Program and the College and Career Program at The Torch Worship Center. As Production Director I serve as the coordinator of all things production including live video, graphics, pre-production, staging, lighting, audio and stage direction. I absolutely love the position and the numerous volunteers who help to make each and every service a success! It takes no fewer than 18 production volunteers alone per service to pull off the production side of things in our 333 Service. It can be challenging at times, especially finding ways to lead and motivate volunteers without the incentive of monetary reward! It is a lot of work, but I hope to continue to work with Church Production no matter what career I pursue.
I also have had the opportunity to serve as the Emcee and Host for numerous events associated with The Torch.
Travel is a big part of my life, and I have had the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the country including places like the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, driving the coast to Maine, Disney World on numerous occasions, St. Louis, Texas and Indianapolis among numerous other places. We have also taken cruises to the Bahamas and Alaska. With Football I have had the priveldge of traveling the “sports” way with private jets, police escorts and more to numerous locations around the country. Through The Torch I have also had the opportunity to do Missions Work in Mexico and Alabama. In the future I wish to see all corners of the world, with a castle tour of Europe, an outback exploration in Austrelia, a safari in Africa and all the other beautiful locations on this earth… and who knows maybe one day a visit to outer space?
